Designing for Social Media

Things to keep in mind when designing...

When you are designing for social media, just like with every other design you do for an organization, you want to be sure they are cohesive and in keeping with the overall theme. Although each of those social media creations had different purposes and were advertising different things, they all have the same feel and aesthetic. I did this by using the same colors, the same fonts, including the brand logo, and ensuring they were all upholding DKLC's brand image.

Another thing to keep in mind in sizing. Not all platforms incorporate the same sizes for posts, profile pictures and cover photos. It is important to remember this when you are designing so your images are not distorted, and viewers can easily read the information and see pictures. Canva has templets for many different social media sites and posts and ensures correct sizing. I used this great tool for this assignment.

Social media is a powerful tool

It is so important in this day and age to utilize social media and create an apparent presence. I am frankly embarrassed to admit how frequently I am on social media. It is a great way to connect with people and keep your organization fresh in the minds of consumers. Be sure your organization is taking advantage of this phenomenal marketing tool.
